Logo positioning problems

I’m new to wordpress, and having some problems figuring out how to tweak templates.

The one I have (WP-Creativix) lets you submit a logo, 250×100 px, to replace the default on in the upper-left corner of the template. My logo is this size, but is going under the main content of the page. Can’t seem to figure out how to shift it up. Regardless of the pixel margin I enter (which it lets you do for this theme), the logo doesn’t move. Any suggestions?
