Logout redirect with admin redirect enabled

Hi, we have ‘Redirect administration pages to site’s original domain’ enabled, and I see that, with this enabled, the plugin sends logout redirects to the ‘parent’ site of the network (in remote_logout_loader()). We’d like to redirect back to the mapped domain for the sub-site the user logged out of, instead. That logout works fine when this setting is disabled.

Why does the admin pages redirect option force this logout redirect? Is it absolutely necessary, or is this something that could be filtered to enable other redirect destinations?
