Not enough information to tell, unless you want a works for me answer.
* First, disable all plugins, and switch to the default theme.
* Try again, if it works re-enable plugins one by one until you find the problem one.
* Enable debugging in Settings → Post Thumbnail Editor
* View the log file (link is in the settings page)

In the end I changed my plugin (Crop Thumbnails) and everything works.
If this had been a problem parameters or update, ok, I would have taken the time … But here it meaning confit, the bug … And I do not have time. Sorry;-)
