Looking for a media image plugin

    I don’t know if this is the right section to pose this question so I apologize if it’s wrong.

    Is there a plugin to change the way images are viewed on a page? I don’t want a brand new tab opened when I click on an image. I want it to “pop out” of the page to see it bigger but not in a new tab or window.

    I have tried searching but I’m clearly not describing it well enough to find what I’m looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

    Yes! What you want is called a lightbox. Search the WordPress plugins for lightbox and look for the best rated and best supported and best updated lightbox plugin. You can also search google for “best wordpress lightbox plugins” to read bloggers reviews before deciding.
