• Hello All

Hopefully, someone out there can help with this.

I am in need of a plugin, that will allow me to place a video widget into a sidebar, (nothing hard there)

But I want to be able to specify the video URL, in this case, Youtube in the post.

This will mean that a different video will be played for each post that’s is looked at.

I can’t find anything that does this, so wanted to ask if anyone has come across this before?

I have tried Video Sidebar Widgets by Denzel Chia but if you don’t specify a youtube URL in the widgets section, and leave it blank, but do specify a youtube URL in the post, it gives an error when trying to play, although in edit mode it plays… which is a little strange in itself.

  • Hey there,

The task you’re trying to do will be better done with Custom Fields + a sidebar widget.

I’m not sure if this plugin works, but if it does, it should come handy for this task: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/custom-field-widget/

It’s older than 2 years, so try to test it on a test site before installing on your productions site.

    Hope it helps.
