looking for specific design

    Anyone know a free template/theme that would fulfill this design idea:

    Need to use logo in upper left, have menu bar to the right of that.
    then headline block in left, using 2/3 of column space, under headline I’d like to have two columns of categories but only showing one item from each category. I’d like the right 1/3 of the column to be widget-ready as well as the footer with 3 widgets areas.

    I’ve found a few that kinda meet the requirement, but it always has a set widget for Twitter or Feedburner that i don’t want.

    Suffusion and Atahualpa are the most flexible. You’ve got a lot of requirements here. Either will get you close, neither require you to have feedburner or Twitter, and you should buy the author at least a cup of coffee for their trouble.

    Beyond that, if it HAS to look like you mention, you need to pay for the theme. Shouldn’t break the bank to do so, particularly if you let the designer post the theme for others to use.

    hmm…I’m trying out Suffusion right now, per your suggestion. It’s a deceiving theme when you look at the description…more powerful than it seems at first.
