    you could also try switching to the new default settings in autoptimize 2.1; disable “force JS in head” and add js/jquery/jquery.js to the commma-separated list of JS optimization exclusions.

    if that does not work you could, as per the troubleshooting guidelines in the FAQ, have a look at your browser’s console for js error-messages and based on that (re-)configure AO (excluding specific scripts from optimizatoin)?
