Lost a toolbar

Hello, over the last few weeks I’ve noticed that I’m suddenly missing the little arrow icon that I can use if I make a mistake and want to go back. Any idea why please ? Or how to get it back ?

I’d also be grateful for some advice on the best additional editor to use, since the installed one is limited in terms of what it can do. Thank you
