I was trying to delete old comments (from over a year ago) and pingbacks from a page. Now I seem to have lost most comments (on some pages, comments from 2014 still display) but the pingbacks still display. I tried restoring them from the trash, but they don’t show. Can anyone help?
I think I lost them when I went to Settings < Discussion and checked “Automatically close comments on articles more than 14 days old”. When I realized I lost some comments, I unchecked that and lost all comments. Again, the pingbacks still display.
