    Hi, All,

    I hope you’re doing well.

    I’m a rank novice with WordPress, so I apologize in advance if my question is overly naive. I’ve searched for answers on this forum, but I can’t find any so far.

    I’m working on a WordPress (Version 3.3.2) website at http://bdesilets.com/if. This WordPress site will, I hope, be an improved version of a fairly extensive site that I’ve been building for a number of years. It has a hundred pages or so. I’m using the default Twenty Eleven theme. The site consists entirely of pages–no blog entries at all.

    I’ve had no trouble creating pages, mostly blank ones so far. I’ve found it easy to establish the site’s structure by selecting parent pages for all but a few top-level pages.

    As I began creating the pages, I found that WordPress automatically created neat dropdown menus on the site’s front page. Everything looked great. Then, for no reason that I can see, the dropdown menus disappeared and were replaced by a randomly-ordered, cloud-style listing of all the pages. This sort of listing is, as you might assume, of no use to me.

    I’m guessing that I must have inadvertently changed a setting somewhere, but I don’t have any idea what setting that might have been. Or maybe the problem is something else.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Sincerely,
    Brendan Desilets

    Looks like fun. Did you touch the CSS as all?

    Hi, Hattendesign,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    No, I did not alter the CSS, as far as I know.

    Have a great day.

    WP and most themes support only a certain # of nested menu items.

    Also, have you considered how links such as
    //http://bdesilets.com/if/?page_id=155
    will work now (SEO)?

    You need to consider changing your permalink structure for SEO purposes. Also you may find your pages by selecting menu under appearance and adding hem back this way
