    Hi

Around the 8th of February we seem to have lost access to GA4 data. The UA property is still tracking in GA but we’re no longer seeing anything come through on the GA4 account and we haven’t made any changes to the set up of GA via site kit. Please can you advise on how we get the GA4 property to track again?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for getting in touch @addedhealth. I checked your site both manually and using the tagassistant.google.com service. From doing so I can see that site visits are recording, but only after consenting via your third party consent plugin (screenshot).

To confirm that this is the case, and that you are receiving GA4 data but only once a user consents, please share the following:

    1. Do you see any traffic on the Site Kit dashboard. I suspect you will have some traffic, just maybe not what you were expecting based on your Cookiebot and other third party plugin configurations.
    2. If you click on the ”Source: Analytics” link within the Site Kit dashboard, do you see any recent data from the Analytics directly? I ask as Site Kit pulls information from a users Analytics account and displays it within the plugin dashboard.

Feel free to share a recording of what you see on the Site Kit dashboard and from Analytics directly if you wish. You can use a service such as Loom or RecordIt to share a screen recording, while using this formto share this privately if preferred.

Thanks for the quick response! On your questions please see the below:

    • I can see traffic on the Site Kit dashboard but this looks like it pairs up with our UA data
    • If I click directly to analytics, I see traffic in the UA property but nothing for the GA4 property. If I use the real time report as well, I’m seeing myself on the site in the UA version but nothing in GA4

Do you think that this is an issue being caused by the cookie plugin?

Thanks for the update @addedhealth. If the data you’re seeing on the Site Kit dashboard doesn’t reflect your GA4 data, something may have gone wrong with your setup. The plugin should be reporting GA4 data. If you’d like to share your Site Health information and a recording of what you’re experiencing, or a screenshot of your Site Kit dashboard, I’d be happy to assist further.

To answer your question regarding your cookie plugin, your configurations seem fine. Once I consented, my site visit (for your GA4 property) was firing.

Thanks for sharing your Site Health information @addedhealth. From reviewing the details I don’t see anything obvious that may be resulting in the non reporting or inaccurate information of your GA4 data. As you suspect your dashboard may be reporting UA traffic, please share a screen recording of your experience. You can use a service such as Loom or RecordIt to share a screen recording, while using the same form previously used to share this privately.

Within the recording, please click on the ”Source: Analytics” link within the Site Kit dashboard, so we can see what property this links to directly.

Viewing the recording will also allow us to check whether the data you see in the Site Kit dashboard reflects what you see from analytics.google.com. Thank you.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
