I have recently started noticing missing links on my website, and the only reason/ adjustment i have made was that I cleaned up old revisions of pages.

I did this manually, so there is a possibility that i deleted the most recent update therefore the whole blog post.

Is this a potential with your plugin? That i did not realise and inadvertently deleted posts?

If yes, is there please a way to retrieve them back?

I have also subsequently removed the links from the pages, so can I find ones i may have deleted and no longer appear in my missing links report?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @thecreativehook,

    Thank you for your message.

Revisions are not directly related to the post itself, they are simply previous saved versions of a post, used to track changes and allow you to restore an earlier version if needed. Deleting revisions only removes these historical versions and should not affect your actual posts, pages, or links.

So, the cleanup of revisions (whether done manually or using the plugin) would not delete your posts or cause links to disappear.

It’s more likely that the posts/pages themselves were accidentally deleted or affected by another action. I recommend checking:

    • The Trash section in your Posts/Pages
    • Any available backups (via your hosting or a plugin like UpdraftPlus)

If the posts were permanently deleted, restoring from a backup would be the only way to recover them.

If you’d like, feel free to share more details and I’ll be happy to help investigate further: https://sigmaplugin.com/contact

    Kind regards,
    Younes
