Have checked in “tarsh” and “draft”?
Yes. It’s totally gone as far as I can tell. I updated MANY times. How could it disappear?

To rule out any plugin/theme conflict, try:
– Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Also, any op cache or content network cache, as well as Cloudflare, clear those caches.
– deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
– switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
I’m embarrassed to admit I don’t know how to flush a cache or even what a cache really is. I do know how to switch themes, which I’ll now try.

Switching themes didn’t work. I should have sent this yesterday. Apparently not knowing how to flush the cache is a real problem.
What do you suggest.
I can’t emphasize enough how often I hit the Update button while creating my new post, and that I looked at it from the outside and the changes were taken. It was there.
I am shocked. That has never happened.

I’m disappointed by the lack of response after my post this morning. Does that mean I’m beyond hope? Nothing can be done?

If you look under posts -> all posts and sort by date, do you find the post you were creating?
