    Hello,

Today I had a problem with my website and a restore was needed and executed.

When I configure again Jetpack, all the old statistics (more than 2 years) are lost! Just new data.

    Could you please help me?

    domain: blendsvape.com
    wordpress.com: @ericsonws

    Thanks
    Ericson

Hi Ericson, did you happen to change the site name or adjust the URL when you restored the site?

Hi! No changes, just backup restore.

    Hi @ericsonws,

Thanks — it looks like you may have created a clone of the site at some stage and that caused a difference in site URLs on our system (this can happen when databases are copied).

We’ve changed a setting on our end which should help bring the stats back on blendsvape.com. All we need you to do is reconnect Jetpack:

Hopefully that will do the trick but come back to us if you have any problems.

Hi Gemma, yes I created a clone site to test plugins updates on staging. It’s something I do one time for month.

I do the procedure to reconnect jetpack and get this error: “Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support.”

    Thanks!

@ericsonws could you check wp-admin > Settings > General and ensure the Site and Home url are correct?

Hi, I check the url, and is correct:

Do you have staging sites in addition to this site, and are they using the same domain name within Jetpack?

    (@ericsonws)

I have a staging site, but the Jetpack plugin is disable!

We can remover the old stats, but first we need to get the new site connected properly.

I’m not seeing anything that would obviously block us there.

Please try deleting Jetpack specifically from the Plugins section of your blog’s Dashboard: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reinstalling-jetpack

This will clear out Jetpack’s settings, and it should work properly after a reinstall.

    Hello!

I do the procedure, deactivated the plugin, deleted and instaled again, the error is exaclty the same: Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support.

Are you running any security plugins, security reverse-proxies (like Cloudflare or Sucuri), or server-side security (like mod_security)? If so, would you please try connecting with those temporarily deactivated?

    (@ericsonws)

    Hi James,

I’m using “Malcare”. I deactivated the plugin Malcare, remove jetpack, install again and try to configure, same error. šŸ™

    (@macmanx)

Ok, shockingly enough, that made a difference in the sense that I could finally see the problem on our end, which I have now corrected. šŸ™‚

One more time, please try deleting Jetpack specifically from the Plugins section of your blog’s Dashboard: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reinstalling-jetpack

This will clear out Jetpack’s settings, and it will work properly after a reinstall, this time, for sure, fingers crossed.
