Folks:

I needed to make some changes to text in my product listings, so I exported all products, made edits in Excel, and then imported all the products. Only later did I realize that my custom tabs are now gone. Ack!

My export includes the custom tabs (in the “Meta: yikes_woo_products_tabs” column) but they no longer exist in my products.

Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this?

Hi @ssalb1,

Is there any chance that your edits included edits made to the tab data? That data is stored as serialized data, which means it shouldn’t be edited manually. It’s incredibly specific. If the data is corrupted, the problem will present itself as missing tabs.

If that’s what happened, you will want to restore a backup, or re-import the original export before you made modifications.

Yes, I did edit the text in the custom tabs.

I restored a backup. I lost some data, but I definitely needed the data in the custom tabs.
