Love the readability

I recently uploaded the Author theme for a better reading experience for my web novels and short story content on my site. Previously I was using a theme that did a great job of showcasing my work in snippets, but readability was lacking with the post page layout. This two column format is much, much better, as is the natural spacing, font, and color. I gave it four stars because customization options for link colors aren’t built into the version I have, which did some hinky stuff to link buttons on my old posts, and my widget options are limited to the sidebar. I’d prefer a topbar or slideshow option. I would like to have more of a showcase for a front page alongside the current format for pages and posts.

That aside, I love how clean, straightforward and simple the design is. Setup was fairly easy and highly customizable for menus, and they’ve got tons of social media icons placed in what I would call the perfect place. I just think it’s a well thought out and effective design, particularly for content like my site has. Honestly, a 4.5 would be a more accurate rating. None of my issues are dealbreakers, and I can fix the links with a little tweaking (I think).
