Machine Name For Fields Not Showing

I’m in the fields builder and the machine names for the fields aren’t there. Is this a Pro feature only? I’m testing free in a development site to see if it suits the needs of a site before purchasing Pro – if I can’t access the machine names, I can’t test the capabilities that I need to.
