• Hi everyone. I’m looking for a slider that works similar to the type of slider you see at GQ or Esquire. Here are examples:

    GQ: http://goo.gl/9pqZs

    Esquire: http://goo.gl/jL5Ii

Most of the featured sliders I’ve found don’t allow you to set them up the way they are set up on GQ and Esquire. Can anyone suggest a slider that will work like this for individual articles? If you need more info, just let me know.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Just bumping this thread. I’ve tried using slidedeck, but the way it functions is pretty specific and kind of limits what you can do. I’ve come across a few other sites with sliders, but they’re all mostly custom made.

Can anyone recommend a slider that functions similarly to the links I’ve included above?

Anybody? I’ve come across a LOAD of these content sliders, but I’m not seeing any that work the way I’m asking in wordpress.

I thought I’d follow up with a few suggestions for people who are looking like I was:

I’ll post my solution since it fits your exact description, although it’s a bit of self-advertising. I wrote a plugin called Theia Post Slider that does just what you want. It’s essentially a slider for multi-page posts and you can add whatever you want on each page (text, photos, videos, etc.). Let me know what you think!

Chubstr, did you ever find a plug-in that worked for you? I’m looking for one myself.

Hi Michael – The one above is an option, but I also found that WooThemes.com has recently released one that seems to work, called WooSlider. I think it’ll do exactly what we’re looking for, but it might require some work. Either way, it’s $35 or something, so it’s worth investigating.

WHich one are you using? The Wooslider doesn’t look like it actually mimics the multipage function that Esquire uses. See how theirs says “slide 1”, etc?
