Magazine Basic Link Category & Links Widget Missing

I have the latest WP update, and the latest Magazine Basic. I have two blogs. My original is maggiesnotebook.com. My new site is the problem, maggievillines.com

The second is set up exactly as the first, but in the dashboard the Links icon (looks like a link a chain) is missing, and the widget Links is not listed. This means that I cannot add a link to use on a blogroll without going to a Text widget, and adding html for each.

Anyone know how I can get Link Categories (not Post Categories) back into the theme?
