Mail (2) configuration issue

    I am trying to use mail (2) to send a courtesy email confirming that the form has been sent. The email is returned to the person who filled out the form using the field with their email TAG.
    Unfortunately, nothing happens even though there are no syntax errors detected.
    I’ve tried everything, and I read somewhere that it might be a problem with Gmail only, but I tried different providers and didn’t get any feedback.
    The only thing I can think of is that it’s linked to a PDF file via the PDF form compiler.
    Could that have something to do with it?
