    Hi, I need assistance.

I have Simply.com as my host/provider of mail and domain, where I use WordPress to make my website. I have bought WP Forms, but the forms are not working. Neither of the notifications are going through, and I can see that there is a “soft bounce”.

According to your guide, I should use Sendinblue as my email-provider, so I did. The test went fine, but the forms were not working. So I chatted with WPforms, Simply, WordPress and Sendinblue to find a solution. Neither of these could supply me with an answer, besides writing to you.

Simply told me to plug them in as email-provider so I did, but then test did not work, where multiple errors was detected. How can I put Simply as my mail host through php? 🙂

    Hi @flempopo

Thanks for reaching out to us and we’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the Sendinblue mailer.

If the Sendinblue mailer test email is working correctly and your form notifications are not being sent, that typically means that there is an issue in your form notification settings. Perhaps there’s a typo, an incorrect “To” or “From” email address. Sometimes it can even help to just create a fresh new form and send a test email to confirm if any errors appear.

Just to confirm, when sending the test email, did you send it to the same email address as the one set in your WPForms settings?

Please also note that we have recommendations for debugging sending issues in this section of our documentation.

To set up an SMTP connection that isn’t one of our typical mailers, you can do so via the Other SMTP mailer.

Please note that if you are receiving errors, please share the errors you are seeing because they typically point out the reason for the error.

    I hope this helps 🙂

Hi again and thanks for the answer.

I did not send the test mail to the same mail as the one set up in the settings.

I tried to set up the “Other SMTP mailer” with Simply.com, that just did not work. Instead I recieved alot of different issues with host. Simply logged in on my wordpress account and said that I did it all correctly. So there must be a technical issue somewhere, probably in your end.

    Hi @flempopo

Thanks for getting back to us.

What were the “alot of different issues with host” you were referring to. Did you get a specific error message?

To confirm if these issues are mailer specific, we’d recommend testing a connection with a different mailer. For example the Google mailer (because it’s free and fairly straightforward to set up).

To eliminate the possibility of a plugin conflict, please try disabling your other plugins except for WP Mail SMTP then try sending a test email using either of the 3 mailers to see if any errors occur.

Lastly, to confirm if this is a plugin-specific issue, you can try using a different SMTP plugin like Easy WP SMTP to see if the Sendinblue or Simply SMTP credentials work correctly there.
