mail smtp set up

    Hello,
    i am having a hard time setting up the smtp in order to get our customers and ourselves notifications on event bookings i was on the phone with microsoft 365 for over an hour to get the webserser set up, but i am still getting an error when i try to test the email.
    i have read online it would be an issue with the port 25 firewall, but i have do have the firewall turned on. what else can i check to get this taken care of ?

    Getting smtp to work from your server to the internet is beyond the scope of EME itself. Please do some research or open the needed ports on your firewall.
    If mail is working from your regukar wordpress setup and you don’t know about mailserver settings yourself, use “WP mail” in EME as the mailing mechanism and not SMTP.

    ok. i will do the WP mail option then. Thank you. i have tried to open the port on the firewall, but it doesn’t seem to work.
