    Hi

As we use MailChimp – and Scroll Triggered Boxes along with MailChimp for WP pro we are looking into whether the add-on MailChimp plugin might be worthwhile for us.

Do our users need to be logged into our site for the add-on to work? We don’t do that at the moment and if that is needed for the add-on to function properly then it’s not for us – at least not now.

    Hi Richard,

I’m sorry for the terribly late reply, I was pointed to this topic but then forgot about it. Not sure if this is still relevant for you but the MailChimp add-on for Scroll Triggered Boxes works with a cookie that is set by the MailChimp for WordPress plugin, so it doesn’t matter whether your users are logged-in or not.

For now, it is a basic check whether the cookie is set and if so, it will hide the boxes. You might be happy to hear that we’re working on a dedicated add-on which will hide all opt-in methods and periodically check whether the email is actually still subscribed to the list. This way, if users unsubscribe from your list the opt-in methods will start to show again.

Hope that helps. If not, let me know!
