Mailchimp API key not validated

    Hey there, I just recently discovered the plugin, however, I cannot start testing it because my Mailchimp key cannot get validated. It basically tries validating it and the the red “x” always appears next to it, making it impossible to choose a list and get it running.
    I tried uninstalling all my other plugins 1 by 1 but none affected the result.
    I also tried validating my API key with the “Mailchimp for WordPress” plugin to be sure my API key did in fact work – which it was able to validate and connect.
    Any input will be appreciated!

    If it can help anyone, after much fiddling around I found out I needed to create a list before before trying to validate my API key.
