I am trying to embed a Mailchimp sign up form on a webpage and I am running into a few issues:

    1) I am using an Age Gate plugin on the site, and when I add the code to the page – exactly as it is given to me by Mailchimp – the Age Gate popup runs off the screen and does not allow the user to scroll down to select an option. It simply won’t let them enter.

    2) I am also attempting to stylize the form, and it’s going fine. Except that when I recolor the background, white bars appear beneath the input boxes I’m assuming they are there when the background is still white, but changing the color makes them noticeable. I’ve determined that those bars are coming from a part of the code that is beneath each input box field: < span id=”mce-BIRTHDAY-HELPERTEXT” class=”helper_text” > < / span >

When I remove this part of the code, the bars are gone and the form works fine (i.e. No visual problems, I am able to sign up, and I have verified that the email does appear as a new contact in MC).

BUT, what is this code for, and will removing is cause any back-end issues?

By the way, I am using Elementor with the HTML element to add the code.
