Mailchimp for WP error using EBD with CF7

I have hooked up Contact Form 7 integration with Mailchimp for WP plugin, and all worked well. However, when I run the conatact form through EBD – using the shortcode [email-download download_id=”549” contact_form_id=”544”] the subsrciber does not get added to my mailchimp lst. In the Mailchimp for WP Debug log I get the message:

It seems to be somehow replacing the subscribers email with “from_email|marn**@ma*****************.com” and saying this has been deleted (just for info the email “marn**@ma*****************.com” is my sites email address and is on my list as subscribed – I use this for test purposes).

Has anyone else had this problem or knows of a fix?

Interestingly, the last subscriber to try and get through the EBD linked contact form does show up on my Mailchimp list, but their email has been replaced with “from_email|marn**@ma*****************.com”. This subscriber then gets replaced with the next subscriber that tries to sign up who is again listed as having the email address “from_email|marn**@ma*****************.com”. It must therefore be an issue with EBD getting the subscriber email confused with the sites emil and for some reason sticking “from_email|” in front of it?

I’ve been struggling with this for nearly two weeks now so would greatly appreciate help!!
