    Hello WPMU team,
    the last of my worries with Hustle was the oddest.
    I ran the whole MailChimp API integration and added the lists and interest groups needed.
    Even ran the first test and got the welcome mails and all.
    Then it went crazy. Started giving out “Something went wrong. Please try again” upon pressing the “sign-up” button.
    I can see from the debug log that the API calls are returning ok :
    Call to https://us15.api.mailchimp.com/2.0/lists/subscribe.json: {“id”:”abc”,”email”:{“email”:”[email protected]”},”merge_vars”:{“groupings”:[{“id”:”1751″,”groups”:[“blog articles”]}]},”email_type”:”html”,”double_optin”:true,”update_existing”:true,”replace_interests”:true,”send_welcome”:false,”apikey”:”xxxx”}
    [21-Apr-2017 13:49:46] Completed in 715.86ms
    [21-Apr-2017 13:49:46] Got response: {“email”:”[email protected]”,”euid”:”abc”,”leid”:”def”}

    Nonetheless i see the “admin-ajax.php” call as “stalled” and it goes red after a few seconds never returning “success”.
    I’ve left it to CSV collection for now, but would really love to use MC for our newsletters.

    Thanks again, looking forward to provide more info to resolve this.

    Hello @sertys,

    🙁 well, that should not happen there. I see that you have already another thread about the problems with Hustle here https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/hustle-installation-issues/ so I assume that this is after you fixed issue there?

    Would it be possible that you could run quick plugin conflict test (disable all the plugins except Hustle and see if this will work)?
    That red admin-ajax.php suggest me there might be a 500 internal server error and that can be caused by conflict.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    You have guessed correctly, but my hacky way of installing might have triggered an incomplete installation though.
    I have to say it’s rather hard to enable/disable plugins on a production site for the sake of testing. I will be looking for alternative ways to debug this whenever free time materializes and follow-up here.
    Thank you for the speedy replies and the dedication to the community.

    Thanks again for all the feedback. Can you upgrade to the latest version of Hustle and let us know if it helps resolve this issue? We will be here to help if you have any questions.

    We are working on upgrading our Mailchimp API to version 3 to help resolve this. In the meantime, some of our users have found success with following these steps.
    – Create a new API key on MailChimp
    – Add a new email to the list (even if you have others added)
    – Entered new API in Hustle
    – Reactivate the Hustle pop-up & widget

    I hope this helps as a temporary solution while we work on the new API!
