mailchimp not capturing email

    Hi Boris,

    first of all, your plugin looks great! 🙂

    I set it up using my mailchimp account and I tried using 2 different lists.. however, no matter what I enter in the form, it’s going to my list… :-/

    the action form is :

    //alexconsultant.us10.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=83e3ed990acd39a5106e65a9d&id=1c68696b74

    which looked weird to me and I tried also adding a http: in front… same thing, not getting through… I was also wondering if the subscriber needed to confirm his subscription or not? I asked because I never received any confirmation as well, on 2 different email accounts..

    Hi Algood,

    your form action should work without http:// without any problems.

    The issue is that MailChimp is using the double optin method by default, which means that your subscribers will need to confirm their email address before being added to your mailing list.

    Unfortunately, confirmation emails from MailChimp can be somewhat delayed, depending on their email volume. You should receive a confirmation email soon.

    humm, well, I still haven’t received any on both Hotmail and a personnal one…
    I tried again with my Gmail account and I’ll keep my fingers crossed! 🙂 seriously, your plugin and customization level is simply awesome.

    I still get the issue… I’m not receiving any confirmation email from mailchimp :-/

    I tried to implement their form but… your plugin is 1000x better to show something nice…

    thanks for the kind words 🙂

    You could contact MailChimp’s support and have them check why your confirmation emails aren’t being delivered. Here’s an article from MC about the issue with possible solutions.
