• The mailchimp plugin for wordpress does work, but when there is an error, it returns the general error message only. The success message is returned properly.

In the failure message setup, which is under Form settings, there are three different error messages which can be setup.
    1. General error message
    2. Invalid email address message
    3. Email address is already there message

When there is an error (either email existing or invalid email), only the general error message is returned.

    Am I missing something?

  • Hey David,

Thanks for posting. Hmm, that does seem odd. Any chance you’d be able to post a link to your site with the active form that you’re seeing the issue with?

Also, can you confirm whether any changes have been made to your po/mo files?

No we did not modify any of the plugin files.

Is there a way to PM you the site name?

    Thanks

Sure, can you send it in an email to mailchimptk[at]gmail.com? Thanks!

Thanks for the help. I have emailed it to you.

    Hey there David,

Thanks for sending me a link to your site. In taking a look at the form on the top portion of the site, it looks like you may be using a different plugin than ours, as the naming conventions of the form elements indicate so. The best bet for your issue would be to reach out to the Support forum specific to the plugin that you’re using. Otherwise, you may consider giving our plugin a try and if you have any questions about its implementation, feel free to post it here and we’d be happy to help. 🙂
