MailChimp plugin not accepting API key

    I’m trying to activate the MailChimp plugin, but when I input an API key and submit it the page refreshes, the key disappears and I’m left with a message that “You’ll need to set up the MailChimp signup widget plugin options before using it. You can make your changes here.”

    I checked with the folks at MailChimp, they made sure my list and account were properly set up and that my API key was valid, it was. Any ideas of what might be happening?

    Hey there!

    Generally when we see this, simply generating a new API key will get the job done. You’ll also want to make sure that the key ends in something like “us1” or “us2”.

    If generating a new API key doesn’t work, try clearing the browsers cache and cookies and re-entering it. Here’s how to clear those pesky cache and cookies, depending on your browser:

    If the plugin still is acting a fool, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling it to see if that helps.
