Mailgun Test Emails Fail

Hi I am trying to set up mailgun with WP Mail SMTP. I have successfully set it up dozens of times, but for some reason my test emails are failing. I have correctly added the DNS records into my host and my domain name is verified. I have tried using the Verification public key as well as created a new Mailgun API keys with no success. My errors say Error Mailer: Mailgun 401: Unauthorized Forbidden. I even removed my domain on mailgun and followed this tutorial https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-mailgun-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/?utm_source=WordPress&utm_medium=plugin-settings&utm_campaign=liteplugin&utm_locale=en_us&utm_content=Mailgun%20documentation exactly with no success. Are there other things that could be stopping the emails from working besides the API key and domain settings (which are correct)? I have spent hours trying to figure this out and I don’t have any more hours to spend. 🙁
