    Dear sir/madam,

    On my wordpress site (https://fotoclubbilthoven.nl/, in Dutch) I have the MailPoet plugin installed. This plugin seems to disappear every few days or weeks from my dashboard. I noted that all files in the folder /WordPress_SecureMode_01/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet are apparently deleted. All folders are still there.

    To try to solve the problem, I have deleted this folder, using an FTP-client (FileZilla) and tried to re-install MailPoet. This results in the error message below.

    “Installatie mislukt: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”> 500 Internal Server Error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator at [email protected] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.”

    When then I look in the Installed Plugins, I see that MailPoet is installed, but not activated (see second screen dump). When I activate this plugin it seems to work properly again.

    Could you please advice me what to do?

    Hi Tinus, please contact the support staff of your host and report that to them. They might be having a security policy in place which is triggering a false-positive action.

    I’ve contacted my provider (STRATO.DE) and they rep[orted that they never delete any files from my webspace. Nevertheless MailPoet keeps on disappearing from my WordPress site. Every now and then some files from the /WordPress_SecureMode_01/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet folder on my webspace are deleted.
    My provider responded as below (in Dutch).

    Could you please have a second look? I do hope that I will not need to delete MailPoet from my site. When it works properly it is very helpful.

    Ik heb zojuist bericht ontvangen van onze technici wat betreft uw plug-in belemmering.

    STRATO verwijdert geen plugins en bestanden uit uw webruimte. Ik geloof dat
    dat de ontwikkelaars van de plug-in hier bedoelen dat de plug-in zelf automatisch
    om veiligheidsredenen worden verwijderd.

    STRATO kan in dit geval eigenlijk niets voor u betekenen
