Maintain Original Permalink Problem

Hi! I have three sites on my network, as an example:

http://www.cars.com/
http://www.cars.com/vintagecars/
http://www.cars.com/sportscars/

With your plugin installed, I tried to broadcast one post from /vintagecars/ to the root site (www.cars.com).

My permalink structure includes the date, such as:

http://www.cars.com/vintagecars/2013/07/28/vintage-ford-cars/

However, when it gets posted on the root, the permalink is altered to:

http://www.cars.com/2013/07/28/vintage-ford-cars/

How do I get the plugin to maintain the original permalink when it is posted on the root site?
