    I’ve been getting this error page very often on my website since installing Wordpoints. It saids…. Briefly Unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute

    I found the .maintenance file that can be found and deleted from your Cpanel/File Manager/Web Root Folder. But it comes back every day.

    Heres waht the file saids below:

    <?php $upgrading = 1443195141; include( “/home2/vgn/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpoints//includes/maintenance.php” ); ?>

    How can I fix this issue?

    Thanks

    I think this is caused by WordPoints not installing itself properly. If you deactivate WordPoints and reactivate it, does it fix the issue?

    I’ve tried that a few times also, and I’m still having the same issue.

    Can I just completely delete the coding found in? wordpoints/includes/maintenance.php

    No.

    I’d like to try to find out why WordPoints isn’t being installed properly. If you don’t mind, could you create a temporary administrator account on your site? You could send me the login info through the contact page on WordPoints.org (don’t post them in the forums!). If you don’t want to do that, it’s OK, I’ll send you a plugin that will fix the issue.

    I’m sorry that you are having problems with this bug. I’ve tried to reproduce it on my test site, and I can’t.

    I’ve found the cause of the problem. It was indeed an issue with WordPoints not installing itself properly. I’ve fixed the issue on your site, and I’ll be adding the fix to the plugin in the next version. I apologize again for the time wasted because of this bug. I have automated tests that I run on the plugin before every release, and they are supposed to catch this kind of bug. But I guess the tests for the installation script still need some work!
