Problem Solved
I am working a client’s website and I don’t normally use GoDaddy as a website host, but some clients already have domain names/sites with GoDaddy.
Having said that, GoDaddy has a WordPress hosting package that can be a real pain at times, because it does things that are not normally expected.
GoDaddy provides a modified WordPress Framework. It contains some features the standard WordPress install does not have. In this case, it is the “GoDaddy Admin Menu” where I can “Flush the Cache”.
This means that if I want to see changes displayed on the website, I have to flush the cache each time to see changes. Otherwise the website draws from the cache which has not updated and won’t update as quickly as changes are made.
It is annoying for sure and really slows the building of the website, but that is one of the downsides to using GoDaddy WordPress hosting packages.
Why did I say all this? – For others who may try to figure out the problem with their GoDaddy site and your plugin.
That was the cause of this save problem I had with this plugin and why your tests showed different. I forgot about the quirks of using GoDaddy. I had other issues with other websites and it was all due to the GoDaddy setup.
When I flushed the cache, the changes in your plugin worked and were visible on the site each time. If I did not flush the cache before refreshing the browser, any change would not appear.
Thanks for the help.
