Using the latest TEC 6.2.9 and tec-labs-remove-past-events-1.2.0 plugin, both ‘Move to trash events older than’ and ‘Permanently delete events older than’ allow me to enter custom duration, but after saving the changes both values go back to Disabled.

My WP Crontrol plugin shows neither ‘tribe_del_event_cron’ or ‘tribe_trash_event_cron’ scheduled.

With tec-labs-remove-past-events-1.2.0 plugin disabled, the pulldown option does stick to my selection and Cron jobs are active in Crontrol, so I believe the issue is with the tec-labs-remove-past-events-1.2.0 plugin.

    Hi @officezen

Thanks for reaching out. Let me help you with this one.

I tried replicating the issue that you described, however, it is working as expected on my side.

There could be a plugin/theme conflict on your end. Have you tried activating only our plugins and using a default theme like the WP’s 2020 theme and see if that makes a difference? [see Testing for conflicts]

As always, please do these tests on a Staging Server.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi Darian,

I removed and re-installed the tec-labs-remove-past-events-1.2.0 plugin and it seems to be working fine now.

On a related note, once the past events are removed from the system, would it also remove the featured image for the event? As far as I could see the images get unattached from the removed events, but they remain in the Media Library.

    Hi @officezen,

The extension will not remove the featured image. You may consider the Media Cleaner plugin or similar for this.

    Thank you,
    Erica
