Make a playlist from folder content?

Q: Is there a way to automatically parse all *.mp3’s from a folder into a playlist? – and maybe import id3 tags as well?
Lets say that someone uploads 120 mp3’s to a folder via ftp, then it would be nice if the playlist automatically updates itself, instead of having to manually add every single file to the playlist.
