Make pages wider

    I have recently started using WordPress and I have successfully installed a template called Chocolate WP (see: http://themeforest.net/item/chocolate-wp/full_screen_preview/299901). One of the things I cannot find out how to do is how to make a static page wider.

    I have looked through all CSS files, but I couldn’t find the exact file or code line. I found two lines of code for something 700 px wide, but when I changed them to 1000, nothing happened so I assume it was something else.

    Can anyone help me find the file I need to edit. Is this template specific or the same for every WordPress site?
