Make translatable via ww.wp.xz.cn

Please make translatable your plugin in translate.ww.wp.xz.cn. You only will need to change the language textdomain from
WPBDM
to
business-directory-pluginAnd we can collaborate to translate the plugin and make it in Spanish, that I’m interested.
Thanks. The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @davidperez,
Thanks for contacting me here.
We do plan to fix that shortly here. One thing I’d like to note is that we already have a FULL Spanish translation as part of the plugin (along with many others).
You can read about how to fully activate them here:
http://docs.businessdirectoryplugin.com/misc/translating-business-directory.html
Hello, It’s not full translated. I’ve seen it, it’s at 61%. And we can finish it here in translate.ww.wp.xz.cn.
Your guide is the old way. It’s much better in translate.ww.wp.xz.cn, where we can collaborate with others to finish the trasnlation.
Regards.
Hi @davidperez,
Yes, this is the “old” way but Business Directory has been around since 2011, so we started this long before WP had these mechanisms formalized on WP.org. Thanks for bearing with us on that.
When you say it’s 61%, what are you looking at to verify that? I’m not sure it’s correct because my developer is fluent in Spanish and he regularly updates the current PO/MO files with every release. We’re much closer to 100% than you say there…so I’m curious how you verify it. Are you using an “old” version of the file? That would explain if you have upgraded it and you got the English strings from the upgrade process. Our 5.1.2 version should be very, very close to 100%. What is the source PO file you’re looking at?
Here’s the current one I’m talking about: https://plugins.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/browser/business-directory-plugin/trunk/languages/WPBDM-es_ES.po

Business Directory Plugin.
Hello,
I’ve just downloaded you’re latest version from this file, and if you open it, you will see 868 translated phrases from 1407.. that’s 61%.It was only a suggest… you can keep you own way! Regards!
Hi @davidperez,
I think we’re having some confusion based on what you’re looking at…When I look at the (raw) file above, I see every phrase in that file with the English version followed by a Spanish version. No phrase is missing a translation…
But, if you look in the file, SOME of the translations are marked by POEdit thus:
#: templates/admin/payments-details.tpl.php:113
2995 #, fuzzy
2996 msgctxt “payments admin”
2997 msgid “E-Mail:”
2998 msgstr “Correo Electrónico”That #fuzzy tag will tell POEdit not to consider it “fully translated”. We can review the file to “force” that but when we re-publish it, the fuzzy markers return each time, so that’s not effort well spent.
If you are seeing PHYSICAL phrases that show up as not translated, I’d love to see which ones you are seeing on your site. We are always interested in making sure things work–and we’ve tested the method above. I don’t want you to think we’re not taking this seriously here, but without know what tool you’re looking at or how you’re getting these stats, I can’t verify what you see in this case…
Have you tried turning on the translation file as we have it? Do you see 39% of the plugin “untranslated” in that case?
Please let me know.
Yes, there are a lot in fuzzy state, and some not translated.
Let me know when you update to translate.ww.wp.xz.cn and I’ll contribute to finish translation…
Hi @davidperez,
Yes, you’re more than welcome to contribute once we get there…but I still have a question for you.
Can you please tell me what tool you are using to determine the 39%? It would help if I can see exactly what you see. Again–we’re pretty sure that the plugin is more than 90% translated, so it could be a “fuzzy” state issue and that PO Edit simply *thinks* they’re not translated, when they really are, or something else if you’re looking at this from another tool/perspective.
Can you show me a screenshot of what you see? Use imageshack.us if you need to.
You can see it here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mX0PsbbdNpXw5EwZRIZkiRue4jvXa8YU/view?usp=sharingI use Poedit. And if it’s Fuzzy, is not showing the translation.
Regards.
Did you plan to make translatable in next versions?
Hello, It’s only need the slug put in translations…
Hi @davidperez,
Sorry I missed your previous questions.
1) Fuzzy is something PO Edit uses to mark translations it’s not confident about. That’s not a problem with the plugin per se, but the file format of the PO/MO files allows for it. To “fix” it, you must mark it non-fuzzy. If you are confident that’s the right translation for everyone, then we can upgrade the actual translation file to do that.
2) The plugin is translatable…but I’m not sure what you mean by “It’s only need the slug put in translations…” We’ve gone through the document on translations for WP and if we’re missing something, I need to know.
Please let me know.
