Make Weight Based shipping default

    Hello.
    I want to make Weight Based shipping option default in cart and appearing first before “Local Pickup” option.
    As the plugin has its own tab in WooCommerce shipping settings, I cannot just rearrange the order. (They are not in the same tab/interface).
    Please advise.

    Hi gulliver-greece,

    Can you tell me how you fixed this?

    I’m facing the same problem.
    I have a ‘pickup free’ option and the weight based shipping costs.

    This is my case:

    Add this product to the cart:
    https://havenspecialist.burovloed.nl/product/t-shirt-with-logo/

    Cart can be found here:
    https://havenspecialist.burovloed.nl/winkelmand/

    When you increase quantity above 4 products in the cart, the rate changes.
    But because the pickup free option is the first option in the select field, this option is than automatically selected.

    I want the weight based option to be the first option, so it is always auto selected, also after changing the quantity..

    Hello @keeslina,

    WooCommerce chooses the first appearing shipping option by default. Make sure the WBS shipping method is listed before Local Pickup in a shipping zone.

    Once you click on one of the shipping options, it would be remembered. So, it would be better to test your changes with a guest account in an incognito browser tab, to make sure your test isn’t affected by the WooCommerce cache.

    I will try to add some details to what Dan said.

    After you setup Weight Based shipping, go to WooCommerce Settings > Shipping and edit the shipping zone(s) you are interested in.
    Rearrange methods making sure Weight Based is first.

    Thanks Dan & Gulliver! You really helped me out here.

    The problem was that I created global weight based shipping methods ( through the ‘Weight Based Shipping’ tab under shipping ).

    Now I recreated the weight based methods for my specific shipping zone, and I can rearrange the options! Thanks!
