bin noch wp-neuling und dein plugin kenn ich zugegebenermassen auch noch nicht besonders gut. obiges anliegen interessiert mich auch, sofern ich es recht verstehe. hab jetzt eine reihe von eventcalender-plugins ausgecheckt und für meinen geschmack haben sie alle den selben nachteil, dass die events “zu weit weg” von den normalen posts konzipiert sind (quasi als eigentständige content-sorte). ich würde meine events jedoch lieber als normale posts eingeben, die ich bei bedarf mit eventeigenschaften versehen könnte, um das ereignisdatum in einem kalender darstellen zu können. das hätte den vorteil, dass sie ganz normal und chronologisch auf der frontpage dargestellt werden und mit normalen kategorien eingeordnet werden könnten. gibts eine möglichkeit mit deinem plugin in die richtung zu gelangen?
ps: hab übrigens auch das problem, dass die links der events in der sidebar nicht den eigentlichen event-post aufruft (siehe: “[resolved] Link to events does not work.” dort gibts leider keine anleitung). dessen lösung wäre mir fast noch wichtiger. (siehe http://www.philopraxis.ch)

you can make a post and there is a feature to add it to the calendar
you can also assign categories the same as in wordpress so the look the same
I have a number of pages that use the categories and although at the moment I enter events in the calendar there is nothing to stop me creating them from posts

calendar I also have some custom code to filter events that fall into 2 categories this allows me to generate a page of categories that fall in the main category

When I create a post but assign WP Calendar dates to it it does not appear in the Events Calendar, nor the widget.
If I created it in the Event creation page it does.
It was working a while back but it might be another php update problem the way it is handled in the coding
bit of a pain if that’s how you make events but the calendar still works
I was testing with a dated post because I wanted to allow comments on the event. My events will by dog working trials and the event would be the date and location and judges etc. And a comment later might be the results.
I can’t see that Events per se allow comments…
