• What’s the best way to make the admin panel/CMS really simple for a user?

And rather than editing whole pages, they just edit content areas within the pages?

    Thanks

  • I thought it already was really simple.. 🙂

That’s why WordPress is so popular?

Very simple for us, but could be confusing for a complete novice, compared to a very basic CMS which only displays content they can edit.

I think it’s a fair balance between simple and functionality.

There maybe Plugins that reorder the layout of the whole menu system if that is what you really wanted, or one could certainly be written if not as you do have full control from code over what is rendered on the front end and back end.

Thanks for the reply. I agree, after really looking into WordPress more I see the possibilites are endless.

I’ve actually nearly achieved what I want. Just on the last hurdle and made a post about it here – http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/menu-item-to-edit-text-on-pages-what-plugin-can-do-this?

Wondering if you know of a plugin that can do this?
