Making Changes to Child Theme

    I just created a twenty twelve child theme. I’d like to make some minor adjustments, such as chaning the title and tagline font size and style and the menu bar color. Can I just go into Editor under appearences and add code below it? I tried copy and pasting some code already and the changes didn’t show up.

    This is what my editor looks like right now:

    First make sure that under Appearance > Themes , your current theme is your childtheme, then yes, go ahead and add the CSS under this line.

    @import url("../twentytwelve/style.css");

    You can make changes thru Appearance > Editor but SFTP is a lot better.

    I made sure that my current theme is my child theme and then I added CSS but it still didn’t change the size of my description. Any suggestions? I’m new to this and it is all very confusing!

    It IS working – make sure you clear your browser cache.

    Also, you should not use the !important rule except when absolutely necessary – and here you don’t need to – it works fine without it.
