Making Last Name Required

I’m not seeing this question asked in the support forum, but I need to make the Last Name field under Personal Info a required field. Is there a way to do that easily enough. Happy to go into the PHP also. Also need it to display in the notification email sent and receipt sent.

Have you had anybody report white screen errors after doing this? I’m getting nothing but white screen for site and admin.

Hi @johnbunk — it depends a bit on HOW you implemented that snippet. Where did you add it exactly? Also, generally I recommend copying just the code, not the “<?php” and comments at the top, basically start at the line that has the function and get all the rest from there.

A screenshot of where you’ve implemented it exactly would be really helpful. Thanks!

Yes, it was the extra PHP at the beginning. I should have known better. I added it to child theme functions.
