• anyone know of a way so that when i post an article it will show just a the first few lines of it and just have a link to see the whole thing?

    excellent, thanks a bunch

    I adore WordPress, and these invaluable forums, yet I too would truly appreciate this upgrade to having a default (on/off switchable) extra box for the “extended entry” field.

    INTRO…BODY….might as well add CONCLUSION. Are we trying write an essay in english class now? 😛
    Anyhow, what WordPress it is now or it isn’t is most likely the design path that the developers have decided to take. Whether one feature makes it or does not could be a matter of preference or philosophy.
    But don’t despair, you could always beg for someone to write a plugin for you. Yet-to-be-released WP 1.3 looks to be more versatile in term of hooking something up into admin panel, so more powerful plugins will make appearance. So, hang in there.
