One irritating problem with WP SEARCH is that it opens an arbitary page when you click the Search button without keying in anything. The URL on the address bar shows “/?s” at the end when it happens. This is all wrong. The proper response should be displaying ‘Nothing Found” on a blank page.

Is there anyway to make your plugin work properly?

Sorry. The duplication is because I don’t know how to delete the post on the plugin page. The wording will show that one question is specific to a serach plugin, and the other is about WP-SEARCH in general. The latter is what I want to stand.

    ChatGPT offered a solution.
It is unbelievable that WP itself or WP plugins can’t handle empty search inputs.
