Kinda wondering why I get a message about Malware being detected by my provider in your files:

    Generic:PHP/generic.redirect.B (Generiek)
    /home/deb47262n2/domains/mywebsite.nl/public_html/wp-content/uploads/shareaholic/spritegen/index.html

    Hi @supervinnie40

It looks like you’re using a really old version of the plugin. Can you please upgrade to the latest. The /wp-content/uploads/shareaholic/ directory was last used by Shareaholic for WordPress plugin 4+ years ago. If you’re already on the latest, it is safe to delete that directory.

Regarding the message from your host:

It has come to our notice that some hosting companies are incorrectly flagging “index.html” as malware. This is a standard file and there is absolutely no reason to panic or be concerned.

Please update to the latest version of the plugin as it fixes the cause of the false positive.

We had added index.html to the root of each directory of the Shareaholic plugin to, ironically, prevent hackers from being able to list the files of the directory. Index.html is a standard security practice, also used by core WordPress. The index.html file now used by Shareaholic is completely blank and should prevent the false positive alarm from your hosting company in the future.
