Malware Scan & Fixing

We will be adding something in the future to BPS that will cover that “area”, but we do not have any plans to add a typical scanner. Scanners are good as far as an early detection type of security measure to let you know for sure you are already screwed. Ie your site/hosting account is already “owned” by a hacker, but the problem with scanners is that they are pretty limited for website security vs computer security. I won’t bother trying to explain the technical details about why scanners are not really that effective for website security. The biggest problem is that hackers intentionally create files that will not be detected by any scanners. So what you end up with is basically a “yeah I’m screwed already” type of thing with conventional scanners. 😉
