Malware Scanner Displays Ads | Please Remove
-
Good Day,
Both your Free and Premium plugins display ads inside the malware scanner results. How can we get rid of them?
Details: https://prnt.sc/VBiHaUVN5nn8
As a minimum, those ads should not appear in your Premium (and above) plugins.
Kindly review and update your plugin(s) to reflect the above prior to your next scheduled plugin release.
Thank you.

As per forum rules, we are not allowed to discuss anything related to the Premium plugin here, including displayed messages. Though these particular messages are included in the Free version too, the messages themselves are there to alert users to the paid Cleaning Service that we provide. Some of our users, Free and Premium, aren’t as technically savvy as you are and may find a task like cleaning their website daunting, even with the guide we provide here:
https://www.wordfence.com/docs/how-to-clean-a-hacked-wordpress-site-using-wordfence/
and the additional instructions for specific malware removal in our Free Online Learning Center here:
https://wordfence.com/Learn
These notices are for them so that they know they can get help instead of panicking when they see that malware was found on their site. This is why we do not plan on removing them at this time.
MiaHey @wfsupport,
We’ll buy that :), but as a minimum, can you guys remove the ad that embeds itself in the middle of our scanning results? It breaks the visual flow of our results. The ad at the bottom of the scanning results should suffice.
As a temporary solution, can you provide a code snippet that will remove the embedded ad?
Thank you!
Temporary Solution:
We applied the following CSS Rules:
.wf-issue-site-cleaning { display: none!important; } .wf-add-top-small { display: none!important; }A permanent solution (remove intermediate ad) — as requested above — is still appreciated.
Thank you!
