MAMP localhost not working properly

So I set up MAMP to run my site locally, copied all of my files from my server to local, imported the backup database, etc. When I navigate to the local site I get the home page graphics displayed, but the message:

“Oops! Couldn’t find what you were looking for. Maybe you’ll want to search for it:Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”

If I try to use the links I get a Page Not Found”

Any ideas?
